Salmonellosis is a sickness caused by bacteria called salmonella, a genus of rod-shaped enterobacteria. Salmonella, depending on the sub-species, can cause typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, and other diseases such as Salmonellosis. Those infected with Salmonellosis suffer from diarrhea, fever, vomiting and cramps of the abdomen at around 6 to 72 hours after infection. The infection would mostly last up to a week and in some cases others recover even without proper treatment from proper professionals. What is dangerous is when the diarrhea is severe, which may lead to dehydration if not treated properly. The infection can cause the death of the victim unless administered with antibiotics.
